Select Modify Traffic Control Plans – Red Card

Aim:

This course provides training for personnel who are required to select and make minor modifications to existing Traffic Control Plans to suit work locations. The course fulfils the NSW Road Traffic Authority (RTA) Red Card requirements. Please note that this course does not allow participants to design or audit a Traffic Control Plan on a road construction site. It also does not cover the duties of the Blue and Yellow Card, and participants are not qualified to actually direct traffic.

The successful completion of this course will enable you to:

• Plan and prepare a Traffic Management Plan (TMP)
• Set out a traffic guidance scheme
• Monitor a traffic guidance scheme
• Close down a traffic guidance scheme

Prerequisites:

You must have one of the four options below:

• A min. 12 months demonstrated industry experience in Traffic Control
• A min. of 12 months demonstrated experience in Applying Traffic Control Plans A min. of 12 months demonstrated industry experience in road works & traffic management
• OR Hold a current Select/Modify Traffic Control Plans Photo Card

Upon Completion:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a Certificate of Completion from Men At Work Training. A Traffic Control Photo Card (Red) will be issued by the RTA within a few weeks of completing the course.
