Design & Inspect Traffic Control Plans - Orange Card

Aim:

This training course provides personnel the skills necessary to design new Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) for roadworks as well as the ability to produce major upgrades to standard plans. It also teaches how to inspect traffic control plans on any road or construction site. The course fulfils the NSW Road Traffic Authority (RTA) Orange Card requirements.

The successful completion of this course will enable you to:

  • Explain the requirements of a Traffic Management Plan (TMP)
  • Collect all required information about a given roadwork and how to prepare a TCP
  • Fulfill legislative and OHS requirements when designing a TCP
  • Use Audit Checklists to conduct detailed inspections of a TCP ant any worksite

Prerequisites:

You must have the following:

  • A current Select/Modify Traffic Control Plans Photo Card (Red Card)
  • A minimum 12 months demonstrated experience in selecting and modifying Traffic Control Plans

Upon Completion:

Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a Certificate of Completion from Men At Work Training. A Traffic Control Photo Card (Orange) will be issued by the RTA within a few weeks of completing the course.
