Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck

The Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck course provided by Men At Work Training & Assessment informs participants about the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift. The unit of competency delivered is based on the National Standard for Licencing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

Career OutcomesThis unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely. A person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck high risk work (HRW) licence.
On CompletionUpon successful completion participants will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment and an application for a WorkCover NSW High Risk Work Licence. 
Applying for a High Risk Work LicenceThe assessor will have the application forms ready after participants have completed their training and assessment.
Successful participants will then take those forms to their nearest Australia Post office as well as 100 points of ID. Participants will also need to bring with them a passport sized and quality photo of themselves with their name and date of birth printed on the back. Application fees are detailed at safework.nsw.gov.au. 
CancellationCancellation fees apply if enrolments are cancelled 3 or less days prior to the start date of the course.

Requirements
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or over.
  • Training and assessment must be completed in English (no interpreters or outside assistance can be used during the licence assessment).
  • Training and assessment must be completed in the state that is your principal place of residence.
  • Appropriate clothing including hi-visibility shirt/vest and covered shoes or boots are required.

  • Do you have any other experience related to the course of study?
  • Do you have any physical or mental barriers that will affect your ability to participate in the training and how can we amend our delivery to ensure that you are able to complete the training?
Pre-work is to be completed 7 days prior to the course start date
