Traffic Control Plans
Men At Work Traffic Services offer a flexible delivery of Traffic Control Plans (TCP’s). TCP’s are required by Local Government and the Road & Traffic Authority for Construction Sites, Road Maintenance and also for community events that effect traffic flow.
We have a number Orange Ticketed consultant’s that are fully qualified to Design & Inspect TCP’s. They will work through the planning process with the client. Following an initial consultation we will identify what traffic control measures will be required by:
- Conducting a site visit
- Liaising with the governing authority of the site in question
- Draw the Traffic Control Plan
- Provide this plan to the client and relevant authority
- Provide Traffic Control or erect long term signage as required
All plans will meet Australian Standard and a drawn in conjunction with the RTA’s Traffic Control At Works Sites Manual, Version 4.0 June 2010.
Road Occupancy Licences & Speed Zone Authorisations
When conducting Traffic Control on Major arterial roads up to 10 business days may be required to process applications for Road Occupancy Licences (ROL’s) and Speed Zone Authorisations (SZA’s). It is important to consider this time lag when planning work on major roads particularly the Pacific Highway. Work may only be conducted at certain times of the day on these roads.
Points to consider when requiring a Traffic Control Plan
Please consider the following questions when contacting Men At Work, these all impact on what the plan may require and are only a sample of factors considered in the planning process.
- What type of road is being affected?
- What is the Speed Zone of the Road?
- What impact will the work or event have on Traffic Flow?
- The Proximity to Schools, Shopping Centres and Town Centres?
- Will the work coincide with Public Holidays, School Holidays or localised peak traffic flows?
Please Contact Men At Work for all your Traffic Control requirements.
